-THE HISTORY OF SHOWRESTLING-

Rewind all the way back to September of 2001. In a cramped bedroom, the would be fedheads of SHOW ran a small, Geocities promotion called E(C)WO  (the C was eventually removed).  Inspired by the goings on of places like jOlt and what the CWL had started these two teenagers decided to try their hand at “the real deal.”

A couple of months went by without anyone taking any major notice. That would exclude Kamlesh, of course, who submitted a review of SHOWrestling for a website called eWUncensored. Therein, he would go on to explain how SHOW is “lackluster” and “mediocre at best.”

It was only until those little tykes decided to “steal” a background off of a post made by PCW’s poser artist at poser downloading website, Renderosity. They used said background for a splash image and watched as all hell broke loose on their fan board.

The next week as an attempt to “fight back” against the mighty PCW, those little guys decide to list “the official ratings” on their main page, which alluded to SHOWrestling beating PCW that week.  Once complaints were made, those lads took down the “offensive material.”

The following week, a segment was written, where the foul mouthed character, Uncensored attended PCW’s PPV in China. Racist comments were made and it didn’t go unnoticed. The Phantom Booker himself contacted one of the kids threatening to call Clan Pages (where SHOW had been hosted at the time) and have SHOW removed. The segment was promptly omitted afterwards.

Eventually, this war of words over the internet would continue to rage onward. Those little bastards eventually aligned themselves with Fedwars.org, a rival interfed of PCW’s Primetime Central. SHOW would take many stabs at their rivals as the two would compete head-to-head on the former internet radio broadcasting website, Fancast.

Eventually, both Bill and Ryan, being the little morons that they were decided they were burnt out with SHOWrestling on March 11, 2002. Simply closing wasn’t enough for the buggers. Instead, they staged a hacking, framing PTC. Why did they do this? No one, including themselves, really knows the answer.

Fast forward to September 11, 2002. Ryan got pretty bored, thus he decided to hold “The Final SHOW.” It was a fairly pointless event. It did accomplish one thing. It set up for a possible return for the promotion, story wise, which you can read all about HERE.

Ryan “sold” SHOW off to someone who ran it for a month. Probably sometime during late-2002 or early-2003.

There was probably some rumor that Bill and Ryan would bring SHOW back, they could have even put up a splash page. But that was, you know, five years ago. For the remainder of 2003, those two numb nuts would try their hand in a number of different projects. Some of those included promotions called NoDQ Wrestling and Top Notch Wrestling, as well as a stint with something called Overrated TV. Both, although it was mostly Bill, had a great hand in the creation of PRIME.

Other than that, nothing happens until January 1st, 2004. SHOWrestling officially opens again under the helm of the duo of Bill and Ryan. Everything goes fairly well for the first month, then Bill decided to do a new design thus, the first Pay-Per-View is delayed until the new design is finished.

The second “month” rolls around and goes by rather smoothly. Until Bill deemed another new design was needed and thusly, the second Pay-Per-View was delayed until that was finished as well.

Things start to get on a roll once again and come time for the third Pay-Per-View most member had lost interest in the promotion. From there, nothing was heard of from SHOW again.

Until Ryan once again “sold” SHOW off to Jorden Snow and probably someone else.

In 2005, Ryan tried his hand in starting SHOW up on his own. He wrote a few “chapters” leading into the reopening story. However, nothing ever came to fruition.

SHOW was dead and buried. It was often the brunt of many jokes during AIM Chatroom conversations.

It was done. Period.

Until July of 2008 when Antione randomly approached Ryan saying, “You should bring back SHOW.” The two collaborated for a little while, and eventually it snowballed into this neat, new incarnation that you see before you today.
